New Jersey – The Entertainment Football Association’s (ENTFLA) is proud to announce Darryl Jacobs as the new CEO and Team President of its New Jersey Professional Indoor Football franchise. Jacobs brings a deep and diverse background in professional sports, collegiate athletics, non-profit leadership, and business sectors. He has extensive experience working with current and retired athletes from the NFL, NBA, MLB, Boxing, and UFC to name a few.
Jacobs, a nationally recognized college basketball commentator/analyst for ESPN and CBS Sports Networks, has covered premier sporting events such as the Super Bowl, NCAA Final Four, and NBA playoffs during his career as a sports journalist. In addition to his broadcasting credentials, he currently serves on the Board of Directors for USA Fencing, World Sports Alumni, Mental Health Center of Passaic and DEI Board of Commissioners for USA Weightlifting. He is a former Executive Vice President of sales and marketing in the sports technology industry, focusing on strategic partnerships, revenue generation, and corporate development.

This is a perfect time to bring indoor professional football to the great state of New Jersey and the league has a great business model which will allow it to sustain and grow nationally and internationally. The league will serve as a springboard for Division I-III players and former professionals from the NFL, CFL or UFL teams, looking to showcase their talents for scouts in these respective leagues”.
Jacobs’ leadership in collegiate athletics is highlighted by over 20 years as an Athletic Administrator and Head Men’s Basketball Coach. He earned numerous Coach of the Year honors and led teams to multiple conference championships and NCAA tournament appearances.
A native of Paterson, NJ, Jacobs is a proud graduate of William Penn University, where he earned a B.A Degree.in Business Administration and was a standout football and basketball player. He holds a Master of Science in Sports Administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude, and has certifications in both basketball and football analytics.
As CEO and General Manager, Jacobs will be responsible for overseeing all business and football operations, player development, and community engagement for the New Jersey franchise.

The league combines high quality, sports experiences with world-class, headline concerts. The New Jersey franchise is set to compete in the upcoming season, with a focus on building a strong team and fostering community ties. The inaugural season starts in June 2025 with New Jersey franchise games being played at Mennen Sports Arena.
